Christian James
Director Biography

Upon graduating from Bournemouth Film School Christian worked in the art departments for various big budget productions at both Pinewood and Shepperton Studios, under the likes of Norman Garwood (Hook, Brazil) and Joe Nemec (Terminator 2, The Abyss).

In 2015 Christian was hand picked by Channel 4/Film4 as a guest director for their Moment of Horror series. His entry, Night Feed starred Alice Lowe (Sightseers, Paddington) and David Oakes (Victoria, The Borgias). It went on to become the highest rated film of the series and is now available on All 4.

Christian has had three comedy feature films released worldwide. Internationally, his work has been entered into hundreds of film festivals, in Australia, South Korea, Norway, Canada and Brazil, to name a few.  As a director he has won the Melies D’Argent at the Swedish International Film Festival, and been nominated for the coveted Melies D’Or at Sitges International Film Festival.

Christian has accumulated a wealth of stylistically impressive commercials and branded content for Global Brands including Nike, Ferrari, B&Q, Shell, Evian, Reebok, Ciroc Vodka, Warner Bros., Universal Studios, Sony Playstation and Volvo. He has helmed various campaigns for Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, for which he was awarded a 2011 and 2012 IVCA Gold Award. In the same year, Christian was a top three finalist in the prestigious Sci-Fi London/Vertigo Films National 48 hour Film Challenge.

Christian has worked with a variety of actors and celebrities, including Alice Lowe, Steven Berkoff,  Vaz Blackwood, David Oakes, Olly Murs, Dynamo, David Guetta, Cirque Du Soleil, Sebastian Vettel, Theo Wallcott, Johanna Konta, Ugo Monye, Stan Wawrinka, Tinie Tempah, Holiday Grainger and WWE star Stu Bennet.
